Hopefully you're reading this from a deer stand because the rut is on. The editors' desks at the NAHC headquarters are buzzing with activity from all around the country. Late last week I received an e-mail from NAHC Life Member Jim Woods about a buck he killed in southeastern Minnesota. Check it out.

Great Job,in 2010 I rattled in a doe and a 8 point buck next to a corn field. He mounted her about 13 feet from the tree stand I was in, but she was looking up at me the whole time and I could not get off a shot, but it was one of those moments that I will never forget.

Thats a great hunt! Had a similar one a few years back, and will never forget it! (my buck was almost that big) I'll rattle for as long as I hunt. Thanks for sharing!
