Super Slow-Mo Video: Rifle Vs. Yellow Jackets

By: Dave Maas

Oct 05

Ever had yellow jackets or other types of wasps in your box blind? It seems like every deer season I have to kill more of the damn things when the cool evening temps force them to search for shelter. I hate ‘em!

So I found this YouTube clip especially amusing. The caption bubble commentary by “MisterOriginal” is good, and I really liked the Star Trek reference at the 1:53 mark.

I’ve never fired an airsoft gun before, but it seems like shooting at flying wasps would be both challenging and fun.

Until next time ...

To prevent bee and wasp infestations in your blind, use aromatic cedar to line the inside. we used to have major problems with bees and wasps, as the blind would warm up they would become active and you spend more time killing them than watching for a shooter buck to cross your lane.
We built on blind completely out of cedar and never had any insect problems. So we upgraded the other blinds and the results have been fantastic. Cedar is also resistant to rot, so double bonus.
