Whitetail EHD: Facts About Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease

By: Mark Kayser

Thousands of whitetails are hitting the dirt this year, and I'm not talking about those taken by successful deer hunters. The cause of death: Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD). Watch today's video to get some details about EHD, and how it might affect your whitetail hunting season.

Also, take a minute to get more info about EHD from GrowingDeer.TV's Dr. Grant Woods. If you want to see a beautiful, mature buck that was likely lost from EHD on Grant's property in Missouri, click here.

Yes,We're loosing alot of whitetails here in Eastern Montana also this year. Hunting is going to be very tough because of this E.H.D. I have never seen this many deer population disappear so fast. We have a farmer that use to have his fields just covered with whitetails because he wouldn't let people hunt; this year I saw one lone doe and she was on a hillside and not in the fields on this farm. Thats alot of kill for this disease to take. Hope this helps all of the hunters out there to realize how bad it is here also. GOOD LUCK! Randy S.
