I checked out the gloves at Cabela's. They run about $200. They have almost 200 grams of thinsulate, use a rechargable lithium battery, and have 4 heat setting. Just what you need when the weather is icy and your waiting for that trophy buck to come into range.

I didn't know about Brittanys being used in the second world war.I do know however they are great dogs.I have one named buster. They are very well mannered, easy to train, and love to play.I got him from hunt I done at the plantation. It looks like you enjoy a bird hunt.I could talk about bird hunting,as far as the gloves they would not work for me.It doesn't get that cold in Georgia.I need my hands for the weapon if I got to take them off to shoot it would cause trouble. Thanks again for another "inside the box".

How appropriate! My birthday was Saturday the 22nd, my wife drove 230 miles to take me to the closest Cabelas store and she turned me loose with the checkbook for three hours! I didn't see these electro gloves in the store but I sure did get an eyefull of everything else! Cabelas products are awesome and the prices seem to be in line with the other major retailers out there. The best thing about Cabelas is ther Customer service. They have always listened to what I have to say and they support what they sell! To me that is worth a few extra bucks when you buy a product, if you know they will stand behind the sale. Now, the electro gloves. VERY handy here in the winter! I hunt song dogs all winter and it gets well below zero. I think these would be worth the money if they allow good trigger control. Only way to know that is to try them out. So send them my way and I'll let you know next spring just how good they are! LOL

I agree with # wopman. These gloves cost around $200.00 alittle high for me. Being on a fixed income. But they would be great for a guy on blood thinners.

My hunting partners and I hunted the 2010 season in -40 degree temperatures in northern Alberta. These gloves would be a blessing when dealing with such extreme weather.Cold hands made for some interesting field dressing. Thanks.

Yeah, they run about 200 dollars, but they have a 7.4-volt battery that is good for 500 cycles. They come in realtree'ap made with microwire technology with a waterproof, breathable liner that seals out moisture. On high the heat output can reach up to 135 degrees fahrenheit.I wish it got cold enough hear cause I would beg Mr.Krahn for a pair.I would however like to see the Brittany hunt they are really great dogs.

Those could keep me toasty on my Wisconsin winter hunts. I sit from before sun up until sun down, if needed.Staying warm makes hunting more enjoyable, even if you don't get yout "Trophy"!!

A bit pricey, but warmth and comfort add hours to time spent in the field. You'll never shoot that buck if you're not out there when it passes by. Stay warm, stay comfortable, stay still, shoot straight. Great idea for a product to make those impossible days into tolerable huntable days.

I have never been able to find a great pare of gloves, ether they don't keep my hands worm or after one season they have fallen apart. without your hands or feet worm it just makes hunting miserable, so having a good pare of gloves and boots are important. If these gloves are what they say they are anyone would be lucky to have them.

I think I will look into these gloves as that is the worst part of hunting, keeping fingers warm. All other parts seem easy but no matter what fingers are always cold.

I have to admit that when I saw the price on the Cabela’s web site I choked a bit but I also understand that you get what you pay for with hunting gear. For me these gloves would be great for the late archery season in Washington. I spot and stalk hunt for Elk and Deer (the season’s run the same time) in November if I came up empty in September. I can usually keep one hand warm but the hand that holds my bow gets cold fast. These gloves would be perfect for keeping my hands warm while I’m trucking through the snow. The bulk would make it difficult to feel a trigger on a rifle but I would imagine that the waterfowl hunters wouldn’t mind. I know that the bulk allows me to shoot my recurve without a shooting glove so I don’t mind it at all.

I have 40 Days 14 hours and 55 minutes till the opening rifle hunt here in Ontario. I will be sitting in my stand for 13 cold straight hours and these gloves would be the end all to my frigid vibrating hands. It would be the total package if Gord tossed in the the cabelas hunt with Phil's autograph on it!

What can I say, when these gloves pretty well tell the story. Here in Oklahoma, dont know how many times a frozen hand(finger) may cause you to blow a shot. These may be a little expensive, but compared to losing your game, are well worth it!

The gloves run around $200 on their web site, which would be way out of my (wife's) price range. They would be great in my blind and you don't have to go to Canada to get the sub-zero wind chills. Northeast Ohio gets plenty cold when the wind comes out of the North across the lake.

Cabela's has great products and I'm sure these heated gloves are just a continuation of their awesome product. If it's not your feet getting cold it's your hands but these gloves look like they would stand up to the toughest conditions. Wouldn't mind owning a pair myself!

I've looked for the right pair of gloves for over 50 years, 24 of them in the military. While glove technology has come a long way in being waterproof and lightweight, finding a pair that are warm enough has elluded me. I have hopes that these may be the answer.

The gloves would be real nice on the deer stand on those cold days. My husband who is waiting for a liver transplant would love to use them even in the house. He is always cold and with those and one of those sleepingbag type bags you wear on at the deerstand would be the cats meow to stay warm. He could still go with me deer hunting again.

My wife swears that I am my own heater, because I love the cold weather ("hunting weather"). However, it is increasingly difficult to convince her to tag along as the temperatures drop. These gloves would be a great addition to my plethora of reasons of why she should be in the deer woulds during the blizzard.

I hunt water fowl on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia Canada up to the midle of january. This would make it a easier halling the hammer back on the old shot gun.I will have to look at them the next time I'm in Edmondton.

The $200 is really not that much considering the long lasting battery life and the fact that they absolutely will keep your hands nice and warm when in the field in the dead of the winter. I do 99% of my hunting in Nortern Michigan, including some hunting in Michigan's Upper Pennisula. It gets down right cold, well below zero. If you are on stand for more than an hour or two, you must have something better than a standard pair of insulated gloves. These will be my standard this coming winter.

its about time they come up with this. because if your hands or feet get cold, forget it you will get cold and nothing will fix that. but i'm sure they will be a little pricie like everything else that is a really good idea!!but i'm sure they are worth it.

Thanks for all the thoughtful comments, guys. I agree, the $200 price point gave me sticker shock too. But I will tell you that from handling these gloves, they are very high quality and are built to last. Keep checking back cause I'm going to be giving away some gear in a week or so--maybe even these gloves!

I traditional bow hunt in Nebraska and dont use a stand or much gear at all. Gloves and boots are two of the most important, especially when sitting in snow for several hours, or when the wind whips through the prairie. This pair should be an addition every cold weather hunter considers!

Yes the Price is High but for those who hunt in the sever Cold where it is normally Bellow Zero They will be well wearth they,er Price I mean I live and hunt where it gets really Cold Two Like bitting cold But I can,t Afford them They are beyound my Price range But I am not saying that they aurn,t worth it cause if you are out where you can,t get warmed up and that Trophy Buck is hanging around just waiting on you to move or leave cause its so cold they can out wait us and they also can take the cold better then we can and being that your trigger finger is a vital importance to you bring down that big boy just that one time will make them worth they,re price in gold Ive coppied down the Info on them for the rest of our members at the begaining of the comments Of how long they last and what degree of cold they will stand up to Go cheek it out I coppied it from Cabelas Online Catellog Hope everyone who can afford them gets a pair and gets to try them out for Theirselve,s Your Fellow Lifetime Member David R Zehner,#redhawk2

Gordy,
I just watched your video on the Heated Performance Gloves from Cabela's. They made me think of my daughter. She is 19 and just started hunting last year. I am so glad she is hunting now since it lets us spend good quality time together. She shot her first deer last year (A bigger buck than I have ever shot!) and it was proud moment for both of us. The only problem she has is that she gets cold a lot faster than I do when we are sitting in the ground blind. These look like a good solution for her since they have multiple heat levels and aren't too bulky. I am guessing that she could still get her finger on the trigger of her muzzleloader if she wanted to. They would probably also warm her hands back up after the deed is done. Anything that keeps us out on the hunt longer is good for me!

I have see various versions of these, all have a rather hefty price tag. The plus side - keep thoe extremeties warn while sitting in the stand. The down side is the need to keep the battery dry. There have been many days on stand where that would be impossible with he wind whipping icy cold rain every direction. I would definitely still use them on those cold clear hunts, if I could affordto shellout that kind of money.

Cabela's Heated Performance Camo Gloves Item: IK-961423 $199.99 they come in small all the way up to 2XL. They have four heat settings Low 85, Med/Low 105, Med/High 115, and High 135. The lithium battery last 8hrs, 5hrs, 3hrs, and 2hrs. single battery takes 3 hrs to charge where 2 batteries take 6hrs to charge. The heating wires run on the backside, palm, and length of each finger. The gloves also have 150 grams thinsulate on the back and 4o grams on the front.

All around sounds like a good glove for any snowmobile, atv, utv, ect. I would like to try them on to see how they would fit with a shotgun. Illinois has its late winter season in January and they would be great for that when sitting in a stand holding a gun.

You know I,m a LifeMember and I love NAHC and what they give and offer But not every one who hunts can afford alot of Good high quality stuff and some of our Members like and would love to have just a few nice things the Hunting Club give,s away or has been given to be tested And thats the only way some of them will ever get them and these Gloves are really good quality and would be nice to have for Many diffrent things not just hunting but other exstreamley Cold conditions and you will never really know how they really are till you have them and you know I don,t buy anything I haven,t tried out or That I haven,t seen some one I Know Who has Tried them out Cause like many others on here I,m a Poor Hunter and to see or hear that they are of high quality Is one thing but I don,t have the $200. dollars to spend to find out so as others here send me a pair to test out and Ill do my best to show that they are what others claim they are but other then that I hope that anyone else like me has some one close to them who love,s them enough and who has that kind of money to dish out will buy them a pair as a gift either for Christmass or they,re Birthday or for a special gift , Cause things are tuff all over and I hope the best for every one and thanks NAHC for your support and thank you Mr Gordy Krahn For this segment of inside the Box Always Mr,David Zehner upstate Troy,New.York Part of the North Country.

I think these would be great to have, for riding atv to my stand when it's cold. I'am on blood thinners, so my hands get cold very quickly. These would surely make a more comfortable ride, but $200 is not in my budget.

Awesome point... use for the ride to, while at and back home from the stand. these would make for a more comfortable stay in the stand. Might be much for someone very active beating the brush. Cost is the biggest negative that I can see, but could be well worth the money.
