Video: Bowhunting Alberta Black Bears From The Ground

By: Mark Kayser

Aug 21

Hunting black bears is exciting from a treestand, but climb down and go face-to-face with big bruins and your blood will boil. That's what I did during my trip to Alberta this spring, and I brought my video camera along. Now you get to enjoy the heart-pounding action while a wary, big boar steps within spitting distance and I come to full draw.

nothing like being on the ground with a blackbear, it greatly increases the richness of the hunt, and the pucker factor, great work.

I thought that was awsome.I hunted hog with a bow on the ground last
Year.right as I pulled full draw I heard some ruffleing in some brush
When I slowly turned my head a 12 point buck walks out looks right
At me and sticks his head in dirt.as I turned my boudy to take the shot
A darn squariel droped a acorn on him he bolted back in the woods.
My heart was pounding and I could've cried.
