Hunter Numbers Multiply; Hunters Spend Billions; Anti-Hunters Fail

Dear Anti-Hunters,

We have bad news for you: Our army is multiplying. We'll continue to stand our ground, benefit the economy, support the growth of wildlife, and fill our freezers with wild meat to feed our friends and families.

Sincerely,
American Hunters

That's right. According to the preliminary report in the 2011 National Survey of Fishing, Hunting And Wildlife-Associated Recreation released by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, hunter numbers are on the rise. And that only means great things for our nation as a whole.

In 2011, more than 14 million hunters spent an average of 21 days afield in pursuit of wild game. While we were busy taking part in this enriching, pure outdoor pastime, we collectively spent about $34 billion. In short, hunters are great contributors to the positive growth of American society.

Thankfully, we can put aside fears that hunting participation is on a downward spiral. The survey shows that hunter numbers have increased 9 percent since 2006, and 5 percent since 2001.

Pat yourself on the back, and then get back to work. Remember: It's not time to slack off. It might start to sound like a cliche, but the fact is we need to continue bringing new blood to the sport—especially youths—or the anti's will take over. And we don't want that now, do we?

We really do not want that. My daughters will be out in the field learning gun safety and the art of hunting as soon as they are able!

My son and I have been hunting together since he was old enough to get out in the woods with me, just like my father, brother and I did. He'a 20 now and hopefully our next generation of hunters and shooters will be coming along in the next few years.

I don’t have any children of my own yet, but I have a niece. One of the first things that I bought her was a pink camo hat from Cabela’s… the same Cabela’s where she was at the opening ceremony. All of this and she is only one. I can’t pass on hunting and a love of the outdoors to my own kids so she is going to get all of the attention for now. My hope is that one day I will be standing over a deer or elk that has my nieces tag on it.

I don't have children, but when I meet someone new I always find a spot in our conversation to tell them that I hunt.I have been hunting since I was 12 years old, and though getting something when I am out is always nice, I also enjoy watching all of the other wildlife that happens by while I am in the woods. Also just being in the woods brings about a special feeling that I believe only an outdoorsman or hunter could enjoy.

Archery hunters,
Insert Weld by .30-06 Outdoors LLC is a must have for anyone building arrows. This product is wonderful. I installed a new insert into an arrow and I shot the arrow into a 3d self healing foam target removed the arrow and the insert stayed solid. That may not sound impressive but I only allowed 5 minutes of drying time.

I talk hunting to all my friends Some of which have never even been hiking in the woods before .. all this time I thought I was just wasting my time and now one of my friends who have never hunted before is taking his hunter safty course and will be going hunting with me in November. It will be his first hunt. Dont give up on your nonhunting friends either. Further more if you do get someone to go out in the woods with you dont be afraid to share your knowledge. otherwise they will be board and want to go home before noon.
