'My Take': Mesh Or No Mesh In Ground Blind Windows?

By: Melissa Bachman

It's Q&A Day on "My Take." Today's question: "Would you recommend using the mesh that comes in ground blind windows or should I take it out?"

If you have a question you'd like me to answer, send it in to AskMelissa@HuntingClub.com.

My Double Bull blinds have permanent mesh installed, I've shot through them dozens of times with zero problems. Fixed blade and mechanical.

Have to agree AGAIN with Melissa...We have several pop up blinds around the property and NONE of them have the mesh in them! I havent had any problems with shooting through it, however, why risk having something go wrong when/if the buck of a lifetime steps out into the shooting lane?!

I bought a ground blind a couple of years ago from cabelas, it was one of the outhouse types. It came with the mesh, but I found it to be more trouble than what it is worth. I was not able to draw my bow back with the mesh in the way.

I have what looks like, the same blind from video. Which, I found out the mesh did have an effect on my arrow, causing it to sail over the back of a doe opening day last year.
I too keep but one loop hole/windows open and peek through others.
