'My Take': Tick Bites Causing Meat Allergy

By: Melissa Bachman

Jul 10

In the Hot News of the Week, I explain how ticks are causing thousands of people to develop a serious allergy to meat. How terrible would it be to get bit by a tick that causes you to give up meat for the rest of your life? I'll also share a preview of what's to come this week on "My Take."

I think I would will myself dead… I get depressed just thinking of not being able to eat meat again. I don’t think it would stop me from hunting since I know so many other folks that could and would eat meat I wouldn’t have a problem giving it away. I would still rather eat it myself.

I don’t often comment twice on the same topic but I just thought that they should call this the; Predatory Emolument Trifle Aversion (Allergy to meat taken while hunting) disease.
This would mean that these ticks are infected with the P.E.T.A virus and should be listed along with other parasites that have similar initials. There, I’m done now.

Ya, ya, ya, No way I'd even think about worring about this. I also heard the other day that milk is no good for ya anymore, and cat litter increases the risk of suicides in women. Where was this tick infection 30, 40, 50, etc. years ago?
