You listed some of the biggest benefits for a hunter with marking a trail to a downed animal or a tree stand.
I can think of a time when I would have loved to have these and that was last year on an Elk hunt. I was in an unfamiliar area and I got turned around. When I got straightened out (I found an Elk camp and asked for directions) I realized that I had crossed over the trail I had come in on. If I had marked my entrance trail I wouldn’t have got so far off.
I can also think that this might add a little bit of visibility for other hunters during the evening. I could see how putting one on a hat or pack could keep another hunter from poking holes in you in the low light of evening.
There is probably no end to the list of uses we could find for these.

I hunt with a few friends on a small plot of land, now normally we comunicate really well but these would be great to stick on side of the shooting house or blind to let them know its occupied way before they walk up on it

Brite-Strike APALS are a great idea. I did a little recon and found out that they are are available in different colors and IR too. I believe that because of their compact size, weight, resilience to shock (LED bulb) and the fact that the storage/shelf life on the battery is pretty long, they would be terrific to put in your 10 essentials kit, bug out bag, or any emergency kit in which you have handy for leaving home with. It could even be used as a light in your gun safe . What a great product! I would like to try them out.

Those sound like an amazing product that every hunter needs in their bags weather it is because they need someone to find them or if it is to track their paths going in and out of a hunt. this is a great product and I will be looking for this to go in my hunting bag.

sticks to solid smooth surfaces for sure, but how well does it stick to bark, rocks, leaves, etc?

These would be good to mark the spot of a hit on a deer with an arrow and the first blood it you weren't sure of a good hit. And were going to leave it for awhile and come back to look for it.

I can see where the APALS would come in handy from hunting to riding your favorite recreational product. I have flashing LED light strip on the back of my snowmobile and ATV helmet so the person riding behind me can still see me when the snow dust or road/trail dust is real thick and blocks the tail light from the person behind you. Everyone who rides behind me wants to get one because they can see how much it helps keep the person safe in front of them...

This product would be a great addition, i have a tree stand setup that i used last year that was bran new to me and these would be great to mark the trail in so i know i wont spook any game that is close by creating excess noise if getting off the small trail that is not well established!

I can see a use in a confined space where a light might be needed.

Someone like myself that hasnt been hunting that long, the lights would really help because you can get lost or turned around when you are out there tracking a hit

If they comne in red, here in Nevada I could stick one to my wifes head and make a few extra bucks for my hunting budget!

I agree that the APALS is and could be a great addition to a hunters pack, out when you hunt public land it also has the disadvantage of showing thieves your stand location. But in my case I was raised to use land marks to locate an entry point to my stand site, so it would come in handy at marking the location of my stand rather than a trail to my stand site. I also believe it would work great in conjunction with a gps in which you can mark the location and and get close enough to the location that the APALS would show you the exact location during low lite situations. Great addition to any outdoors-person gear!!

unfortunately for me i would not use these. i really have no use for little lights to find where my tree stand is. i also have been hunting the same property for over 5 years and pretty much know my way around the neck of the woods. i do like how these tech companies are trying to get into the market. I believe that I would use these on myself and any hunting buddies along with me as we move into our hunting area before daylight. We could keep track of where every one is located, and also let anyone else in the area see where we are. Excellent safety product for here in ohio.

I could envision using them inside bow case or tool case to see when setting out in the morning and not ruining your night vision, or as a signal light to ones hunting partners.

There is many uses for this product ranging from uses on the trail or in a survival pack if lost in the wilderness. If you don't want to attract insects at night from a flashlight or lamp you could use these. The ideas are limitless with this gadget. I would love to add this to my pack that is used for an emergency or hunting trip its very universal.

This is a product that could really help hunters and others in the field stay safe and locate items need for their success,

the trails i go to in newhampshire are a little deserted. there only used once a year so these would be great to mark them. would love to try them!!!

Hansel and Gretel should have had a set of these. It seems the devices could be used in multiple situations. My initial thoughts are to have these on the boat to mark fishing holes to come back to when the tides are right. If they are waterproof, they could be attached to the boat or life vest during emergency situations.

I think those would be a great product for anyone who goes out into the woods! I would love to give em a try myself!

I like the idea but a 4 pack at 12 bucks plus shipping i don't like, if it was reusable then the price would not be so bad.

To echo some other posts, the options are limitless. When out in the field, I have no less than 3 flashlights and backup batteries (enough to refill them all). Seeing the small size and the longevity of each unit, I could save weight and space with a few of these. I also like to put lights in the bed of my truck, not spot lights mind you, just enough to see what Im grabbing before I head out on a morning hunt. Use em as tent lights, signal lights, stick em on your kids... limitless.

The strobe would be great marking blood trails to be able to go back and find later. I do agree with those who said they would be better if reusable. Not a bad product as long as you have private land you know others wont see them on.

This little light is awsome. Looked at thier web site. This has fast strobe, slow strobe, on steady or off. It also come in different colors. Completely waterproof,dustproof. Batteries only last so long in flashlights. Seem pricy but batteries aren't cheap either. Check thier web site. going to get some of these, unlimited uses. enjoy
