Melissa, I've been hunting for the last 32 years and have had no problems with my Remington guns. I am of the firm belief that the National News Media is biased and are promoting an anti-gun venue.

I have been huting for 50 yrs, and I have never had any problem with any Remington firearm I have ever used. The National news media, is biased on everything from politics to promoting anti gun laws and those that want to take away our right to own guns, hunt and protect out property and personal safty. Hunters in America had better wake up and stand up for our 2nd ammendment right to keep and bare arms.

nbc must have some basis for their report, but i can't imagine what it might be. i've hunted with my 700 bdl mountain rifle for over 20 years, and never had any problems. also have several friends who shoot remingtons, also no problems.

Remington is catching flak because they dont use a positive safety like most other firearms manufacturers. I personaly would never own a remington just because of that fact, and I know several others who feel the same way. That being said, I love hunting and I support the Second Amendment.

Melissa,
I served in the Army and have been a hunter and fisherman for most of my life. Also, I am very interested in National politics. If you recall in the 08 Presidential race, NBC was in the bag for Obama. The network was openly rutting for his victory. That being said, what better way for Dems. to start to push for more and tighter gun control then through the use of friendly media sources. This story is another story in an going theme to drum up anti-gun support. Remember that when you go to the voting booth in Nov. Together we must save out 2nd Amendment rights.

Is NBC biased? Of course they are! I believe that NBC stand for Nothing But Cr#p News. There is a reason that we lump them into the group known as “Liberal Media”. I am also sure that if there is such a defect that Remington would have no problem recalling the guns and fixing the problem. It’s just another attempt to try and destroy our sport and steal our rights. Of course I could just be biased.

The media exists for the exclusive liberal agenda which includes bigger government, fewer rights and no guns. The question of the anti gun media bias has been asked and answered years ago. The answer is "absolutely without any doubt whatsoever they are pushing an agenda that is slowly eroding the rights of the people." The crux for them is whats going to happen to them once the government turns its focus onto the right to free speech and the freedom of the press? (When they came for me nobody spoke up because I was the last.)

Major TV networks have never been pro gun & you can see that when they bought Verus & became NBC Sports . Majority hunting shows are gone & have made difficult to contact them to voice our dissatisfaction.

Melissa...I purchased a new Remington Model 742 in the 1960's and have never had a problem with it. In 1967-1968 I used a modified Remington 700 in Vietnam...never had a problem with it even in that hothouse environment....

Melissa: I own a Remington 700 and a 770 currently and have had different Remingtons all my life and have never experienced a problem with the saftey. NBC and the other liberal (so called) news outlets have been pushing an anti-gun agenda for a long time now.

Americans own more Remington shotguns and rifles than any other brand;probably more than the next 2 brands combined. If there was a problem with the safety mechanism there would be 10s of thousands of reports and lawsuits.
