This turkey season is special at HuntingClub.com as we welcome my friend, NAHC Life Member Shane Simpson, and "Turkey Hunt Public Land (THPL)." Watch the video below to see what you can look forward to from Shane as spring unfolds and gobblers lose their heads across the country:

As a teenager, Shane started hunting turkeys in upstate South Carolina. After his parents sold their land, Shane resorted to hunting public land where he honed his skills on much tougher birds and began to capture video footage.

In an effort to expose more youths to the outdoors, Shane started taking his nephews and other youngsters turkey hunting. In the spring of 2009, he started a free turkey hunting service, guiding and filming other folks' hunts all over the country. Shortly after, he created a website to share his hunting adventures—TurkeyHuntPublicLand.com was born.

Shane is also an accomplished competitive turkey caller and has won or placed at almost every contest he has competed in, including a Minnesota State Championship win in 2011.
