Armless Archer Sets Long-Shot World Record

By: Dave Maas

Mar 07

Matt Stutzman was born without arms, but his parents, who adopted him at 13 months of age, taught him that "impossible" is a state of mind.

Matt’s goal is to be the best archer in the world, and he’s well on his way. He’s a proud member of the Para United States Archery Team, and the next step in Matt’s quest to be world’s best is to stand on the medals podium this summer at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

Want to see Matt break the longest-shot world record? Click here. He hit the target from 230 yards!

Until next time . . .

I watched both videos and actually got chocked up. I think that this is amazing but I truly believe that his parents should also receive an Olympic medal. If they had not encouraged and supported that the only thing limits us is US, he would not be who he is. Well done Mom and Dad.
I also kept thinking that if I’m not happy with where I am in life I should change it. Stop whining and change it. Nobody can stop me but me.
Thank you Matt, for the inspiration I wish you the best of luck in London. Thank you Dave, for sharing this great set of videos.
