This week on Tip Tuesday, I'll offer a few helpful hints to increase your chances of calling in black bears with a predator call. This can be one of the most exciting ways to hunt bears, but there are a few things you want to keep in mind before giving it a try.

I deer hunt and get very exited when I get a big buck. The bar hunt is off the wall for a rush.

How close do you want the bear before you stop calling. My max comfortable range with a bow is 35 yards. I'd have to practice a long time before I want a bear that close with no backup!
