Should the gun industry support Obama for a second term? Absolutely not !
There is one very clear reason that sales in firearms, concealed carry permits and related items increased, we thought we would lose access to these things.
I think that with something like this going viral it will become his new focus if he gets a second term. He will now be dead set on gun control and eliminating the rights of gun owners and Americans in general. With no re-election on the line he would have nothing to lose.
Thanks for the boost but now we need someone who is gun owner, gun rights and constitution friendly.

I don't think the economy can stand another 4 years of Obama, but on the other hand gun and ammo sales could use all the Obama boost it can get. We need some one who is a gun nut.

If the number of guns sales are going up. I would certainly hope the number of N.R.A. memberships are also going up! If you want to keep that gun you just bought join OR don't feel bad when HE takes it away!!!!!!!!!!

Obama is a "friend" of gun owners like Colonel Sanders is a friend to chickens. Whenever we encounter statistics concerning gun ownership we MUST consider the source. I agree with everyone here. If we allow Obama and his hanchmen (women) such such as Hillary to strip us of our rights then we can only blame ourselves. Hillary with her international gun control laws, Barack with his gun bans, ammo restrictions and/or data collection on law abiding Americans, must go. Let's push them out of office, far out of office. Then we need to ban together to pass "must issue CCW" laws in states that do not have them already. The supreme court has agreed with us in many recent cases, so let's keep the momentum going and take back our country!

Take our country back? People like to forget that whitey stole this country from the Native Americans. They raped and killed innocent people. I'm assuming that's why people think they need fully auto weapons so you can take someone else's land or freedom. Gun bans are not to take our weapons but a attempt to keep them of the streets and prevent more innocent people dying. Of course you will never keep guns off the streets but the less fully automatic weapons they produce or allow will result in fewer of them on the streets in time, and that has been the main goal of gun bans and always will be. Honestly what reason would any civilian need a automatic weapon? Seriously, What the Hell is this guy talking about. So according to the NRA Obama's entire first term was just a set up for his devious plan to ruin the country in his second term. Honestly, I am a gun loving, hunting and fishing Minnesotan with a deep love for the outdoors and firearms. I see nothing that would suggest to me that Obama is doing any of the suggested.

A bigger fear to me is that people saying stupid things such as the NRA President just did, ruins people's impressions of most other gun owners. Anyone who believes Obama can ruin the rights of gun owners is deeply mistaken, the US Government is based on the fact that no one man or woman, including the president, can ruin anything by himself. And infringing on gun rights is a quick way to not get re-elected. Clinging to your guns while the Republicans cut funding for education, destroy researc and development in the US and wreak havoc on the economy based on their narrow minded view of the world is a much bigger issue.

AMEN to R.D.Julin. The NRA and its shooting sports activities have become a front for an ultra-conservative (and I believe racist) political organization. The Obama Administration has stated repeatedly that the 2nd Amendment applies to the "individual right" to keep and bear arms. End of story!
