76-Inch-Wide Moose Arrowed At 8 Feet

This is—bar none—the most intense bowhunting footage I’ve ever seen. This crazy-big bull, which is now the current Pope and Young Club world-record Alaska/Yukon moose, was taken by guide Real Langlois near Earn Lake, Yukon.

It’s certainly nerve-racking to hold a bow at full-draw while waiting for a whitetail to step into a shooting lane, but I can’t imagine how Langlois felt waiting on this mammoth moose to clear the branches. For a few seconds it looked like the bull might crash through the brush and trample Langlois—you don’t experience that fear factor during a deer hunt.

Well done, Langlois. And great job, too, by both cameramen.

Until next time . . .

OMG wouldn't that scare the crap right out of you. You talk about nerve racking. There at one point when the moose is behind the pine tree i thought he was going to come right on through and step on the hunter. That was awesome freaking awesome especially since it was happening to some one else. I don't think i would have the nerve to stay there, and not move . One word AWESOME absolutely AWESOME

That was AWESOME! That was a giant moose. There's no way I would have let that giant beast get that close to me. I would have re-positioned myself to take the shot before it got that close. My hat's off to Langlois. He's crazy in my book

Very good hunt, to be able to experience a hunt like this is worth sharing among other hunters. I am sure Mr. Langlois will not forget this hunt of a life time.

Great demonstration of nerves of steel! It was intense watching from my living room!
