AR-15 Meets 12 Gauge Shotgun

By: Josh Dahlke

Feb 02

I don't personally own an AR-15 ... yet. Trust me, it's not a lack of desire; let's just say my bank account isn't overflowing with extra gun funds. Rent, student loans and all that other "fun" stuff gets in the way of purchases that matter, like exotic hunting trips and firearms.

I'll eventually budge and pick up an AR, but until now I was solely focused on purchasing a .223 or .308 cal. Well, I stumbled across the MKA 1919 at SHOT Show this year, and its firepower is measured in gauge, not caliber. You heard right—it's a 12 gauge shotgun built on an AR platform. Can you say "ultimate turkey slayer"? Hell, I even shot trap with it in the video below:

To each his own, eye on the other hand have no desire to own a AR any thing. My son is a lot like you drooling at the mouth and can't wait to own one. I will stick to the old fashion look of a gun and i probally will never change my mind, age may have something in it for me i'm 57.

That looks like a coyote killin' machine!!! Now, fulfill my fantasy, and tell me it will accept interchangeable choke tubes!!!

I have crippled hands with missing fingers. I have only a thumb and small finger on my right hand. With a grip like this shotgun, I can pull it back into my shoulder and use my trigger finger stub on the trigger. I cannot shoot safely with a standard stock.
