I hope this blog finds each of you starting off on the right foot for 2012, and looking forward to all it has in store!
I'd like to apologize for not having more stories about monster bucks on the ground. The truth is—and I'm sure most of you can relate when I say—life has funny way of infringing upon some favorite pastimes. Wouldn't it be nice if life was all play?! I can't complain, God has blessed me beyond belief in so many ways ... this blog being one of them.
With that being said, I'd love to hear about what's been going on with all of you. Did you make any New Year's resolutions? Any Big Bucks Down (BBD)? Any big plans for the upcoming hunting seasons? Fill me in!
Thanks to the help of a good friend at PSE, I'm all rigged-up to fling a few arrows from my new X Force. Not sure what I'm more excited about, the bow or the fact that as I'm typing this I'm on a plane flying to Denver, Colorado, to yell "God bless and Geaux Tebow!" at my first NFL game.
Yes, Santa was good to me. But as I reflect on 2011, I can't help but smile and say, "God is great!" From the bottom of my heart, I thank y'all for allowing me to share a little bit of my life with you. I pray that 2012 is filled with more blessings and happiness than you could ever imagine.
While I wish each of you the best of luck while you are afield, please don't limit yourself to just a few trophies on the wall. Remember that offering a simple smile or word of encouragement to someone can leave you feeling like you've just harvested a trophy of a lifetime! Let me encourage you, whether you are hunting or chucking spinner baits, live your life with purpose. Zero-in and make a difference.
As one of my favorite songs says: "He made you for so much more than standing on the sidelines."
I look forward to hearing from you.
As always, God bless and good hunting,
Ains

P.S. Some of you have reached out to me concerning one of my best friends, Aly, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Thank you for your kind words; I truly appreciate it! Please continue to keep her in your prayers, and be sure to check out her blog some time—AlysFight.Blogspot.com—you are sure to be encouraged.
