Hot Highlights From SHOT Show Day No. 1

By: Melissa Bachman

Jan 18

The "North American Hunter-TV" crew and I have been hitting the SHOT Show floor hard the past 24 hours, seeking out the coolest new hunting gear for 2012! There are so many amazing new products to share, but I think you'll enjoy a few highlights from Day No. 1 in the videos below. Winchester is taking hog hunting to the extreme with some sweet new ammo, and you need to see Remington's latest rendition of their Model 700.

Keep your eyes on HuntingClub.com for more updates from the show in the coming days, and after the show in the coming weeks! You'll also find live updates from the show on the NAHC Facebook page!

New bullet from Winchester for hog hunting looks like the ticket to me, awesome. That new Remington 700 is one beautiful gun. Awesome that they tried to make it like the 1960"s model, loved the checkering in the stock and forearm.

Check this out! This seat is great for when you want to get out of your tree stand and move around to find new hunting spots. It is collapsible, lightweight and back-packable; can be secured to trees or structures ranging in size and pitch, and quickly stabilizes on variable terrains. It can also be configured to accommodate ground seating or be used as a quick blind.

Please take a moment to view my patent pending prototype slide show. Copy and paste this link below into your browser window and view the slide show below in less than 3 1/2 min., change the speed to fast (drop down speed list is located to the right of the pause/play control) or manually advance through the images and view the captions.

Initially, I developed the seat for the aging and disabled hunter, and soon realized that the device can be used for multiple applications, including hunting, camping, hiking, bird watching and other outdoor events/activities. It may even have US Military uses.
