This week on Winchester’s Deadly Passion I spend more than 20 days bowhunting big muleys in Alberta and Colorado. After a lot of trial and error with several close calls, there will be no shortage of big mule deer in this show. I end up taking my biggest muley to date, and the coolest part—I filmed the entire hunt myself! Check out the teaser right now.

Scent control is a huge part of most bowhunters routine before hitting the woods, and now it's been made even easier with Wildlife Research Center's Scent Killer Spray.

In a story that traveled around the world during mid-July about a mystery man impersonating a Rocky Mountain goat in the Utah high country, wildlife officials have announced what most sportsmen and readers of this blog probably surmised all along: The faux goat was a hunter.

Twenty years ago, Paralympic archer Antonio Rebollo fired a flaming arrow over the crowd to ignite the cauldron at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. (When Rebollo was 8 months old, he contracted polio and both legs were affected, the right one severely.)

It's always fun reflecting on "firsts" ... especially when it involves hunting. My first kill with a bow was last fall in western Oklahoma.
