Harpole’s Heartland Lodge is an Orvis-endorsed wing-shooting lodge nestled between the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers in Pike County, Illinois. Pheasant and quail hunting along with the legacy of quality upland game bird dogs have been a long tradition at Harpole’s.
Join North American Hunter Editor-in-Chief Gordy Krahn and enjoy hunting bobwhite quail, along with pheasant, on an upland bird hunt. You will hunt behind some of the best German shorthair pointers and English pointers in the country! An abundance of CRP fields mixed with fields of milo presents habitat ideal for upland birds.
Five-star accommodations will await you when you return from the field. Harpole's lodges and meals are an attraction in themselves. Warm up next to a large fireplace in the great room or relax with a game of pool. You are in true luxury, staying in the beautifully decorated themed rooms with private baths. The meals are all homemade and delicious.
