RINDGE, N.H. -- New Hampshire game officials said a hunter has died of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Officials said Timothy Letourneau, 21, of Rindge was hunting deer Saturday afternoon when the shooting occurred.
Game Department Lt. Craig Morrocco said investigators believe Letourneau was either in a tree or trying to get into a tree stand at the time of the shooting.
The Keene Sentinel said Letourneau and another hunter had permission to hunt on the property and police were notified of the shooting by the landowner.
