Anybody out there got any experience with blood trailing lights like the Primos model? Are they worth the cash?

Someone asked that same Q a few weeks back. The replies were mostly not positive. I'm partially color blind to reds and greens. OH I see red and green but close shades are a problem. When one day purely by accident (I sliced a finger) I found the solution. Hydrogen peroxide it only foams on blood. Foamy white I CAN SEE! And for the price of the Primos light you can buy gallons of hydrogen peroxide. gutpile

Get a Coleman Lantern. Don't waste your money on a trailing light. I have a Primos and it isn't any good. Heirloom Game Calls: They sound as good as they look!

I,ve got one that came from sportsmans guide that willswitch from white to blood and it works pretty good.Found a deer last year that I would have had to go back and look for the next day without it.The only trouble I see with it is alot of the reddish leaves shine as if it was blood but being able to confirm by changing to the white helps. If you don't mind going back after a coleman that's a really good suggestion as they shine blood really well. That's what we used in Colorado whenI guided elk hunts. I use the blood light cause it easier to have with me than the coleman lantern. Hunt all you can, use what you take. LM NAHC, LM NRA

Thanks guys. I'll try the peroxide. An old scent spray bottle should work well. I've used Coleman lanterns, but you do have to go back for one, & they also have been known to attract those BIG yellow hornets. Live to Hunt; the rest is just details.

I have used or been around several models with little success till last year when my uncle purchased a cheap 14.99 Winchester blood light from Wal-mart. We took it out against a Premos and you would not believe the out come! The premos only showed a blacker spot while the Winchester made the blood glisten. This is great if it is dry but a little moister and your right back where you started. On you hands and knees looking for the littlest drop of blood.I just keep more batteries on hand for those long searches.

I am majorly color blind and cannot follow a blood trail unless there is snow on the ground. It is just not there for me! So I use the product Track 'Em. Check out the website: http://trackem.co.nr/
