I wish, two groups, 12 folks, shot until the limit was reached.
When you headed out to duck hunt.
Oldest kid called yesterday and he is headed out today to shoot at some ducks.
I have not done that in many years. Used to hunt ducks and geese on the cheasapeak bay in Md, Was great... T.H. Werth US Army (Ret) DA Civilian (Ret) Viet Nam Vet NAHC Life member NRA member

Guess he has dropped of the boards for a while.
Well rifle season is getting close, Two friends and vets coming in Wednesday for the first week. They help me plant food plots and work on the place a few times a year.
Had offered HV a deer hunt as he had just returned from Iraq but guess he is busy which is ok too.
good luck on the 14th to all who go out. T.H. Werth US Army (Ret) DA Civilian (Ret) Viet Nam Vet NAHC Life member NRA member

well i was successful yesterday at my second chance buck, i know that ill get grief for this but there was a drop tine buck he was a main frame 6 with a 7th point which happened to be a drop tine i seen this buck about a week ago hunting wit my brother-in-law and shot and the buck squated and it cut his side and left hair but couldnt find a blood trail well last night got back in the same stand and at the same time 5:39pm this buck walks up the same path as before and comes withing 25 yards i told my brother-in-law "Watch This" pulled my bow back and put the pin on him and squeezed my releash and Thwack nail him right behind the shoulder and it went straight out the middle of his shoulder on the other side. I shoot a Team Realtree Xtreme Fred Bear bow 85lbs pull and shoot xx75 2315 eastons with muzzy 125grain triple blade broadheads and have never had trouble shooting through shoulders. The only reason i wanted this deer was the drop tine he was an older heavy rack and big body deer. And sure enough when we retrieved this buck there was the cut on his side where id shot before and missing hair and the cut was more evident when we dressed the deer, but in the end it was a truly amazing hunt we started out just opening the windows in the stand to see 2 huge does in the field and then seen 9 all together not including the buck i took so i would consider that a good days hunt!! Just thought id share my hunt with ya'll!!! Congrats on the buck, sounds like a great day in the woods.
One to remember.
Friend brought over some pics yesteray of a 14 pt and 11pt taken at night over on a ridge a few miles from here. Great looking deer. butall pics are of him at night, maybe he will make a mistake and get out looking for doe during the day and one of them will get him.
Again, way to go and with a bow it seems a bit more thilling then with gun when you get one. T.H. Werth US Army (Ret) DA Civilian (Ret) Viet Nam Vet NAHC Life member NRA member

SQUIRRELS ARE EVERYWHERE STILL. LITTLE SUM BITCHES ARE NOISY AS HELL IN THE LEAVES WHERE IT HAS BEEN SOO DRY. MAY TAKE MY 22 AND TAKE CARE OF A FEW OF THEM HERE IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS. DEER HAS BEEN ROLLING IN. BACK UP TO SOMEWHERE AROUND 36. KINDA UP FOR THE OVERALL YEAR SO FAR. WILL SEE HOW IT ALL ENDS THOUGH. MAY NOT GET ANOTHER DEER IN...WHO KNOWS!! DID ANYONE WATCH UK PLAY TONIGHT. ONE HELL OF A GAME. STILL THERE IS ALOT THEY NEED TO DO TO BE A TRUE FACTOR. CAN STILL SEE THE YOUTH IN THEM. IT SHOULD WEAR OFF BY MID SEASON. WELL BETTER HIT THE SACK. PLANNING ON GOING TO THE WOODS IN THE MORNING FOR MY DOE!! M & M Taxidermy & Supply

TNT, would like to but have company coming in Dec from the 12th to the 20th, been a long time sense I shot a duck.
Still no deer, have not even seen very many, I knew the numbers were down but it is like after the frrst two days they just disapeared from the face of the earth. They are out at night though.
We took two off the place but that is it. Have not even seen a doe in the last two days.
Lots of turkey though, had six bit Toms come by yesterday and a couple hens this morning. Oh yea, one rabbit also.
Season for rabbit is opened but figured the 30-06 would sort of kill, clean, and gut him at the same time with little left for the pot. T.H. Werth US Army (Ret) DA Civilian (Ret) Viet Nam Vet NAHC Life member NRA member
