Afternoon all.  Well it finally stopped raining for a while but looks like not for long.  If we get as much more rain as they say we are, I'll have to swim back to Kennett tomorrow.  Got to go home and take care of some things so I can come back for the opening day of duck hunting.    Got that new gun of mine all cleaned up and ready to go, my shells in the bag and the new Heirloom calls ready to use so all I need now to go with this and my new blind will be for the ducks to cooperate.  Hopefully they will.  Just in case, I'll take my thermos of coffee, my sausage biscuits and my book.  Y'all have a good one.

Happy Halloween y'all............It finally stopped raining and it's nice and sunny outside.  Got a few limbs out in the yard I need to get plus all the leaves.  They might have to wait a day or two to dry out.  Today I think I'm just gonna watch TV and pig out................ Enjoy your day and watch out for all those little spooks and critters out tonight.  Don't eat too much candy.

Rain filled our Stoddard lease. Shud we ask for a rebate from farmer since he didn't have to pump???

Whut's up with Duck Cr CA??? How many positions are open while State screws around with" improvements"?? And why can't I apply for a Reservation on a CA?????

OMG Tom, I thought you had some brains in that head of yours.  MARK MARTIN??????????????????  He's a washed up has been who should have quit years ago.  Almost as bad as Kyle Busch.  Glad to see Ryan Newan got out of that bundle of sheet metal called a car yesterday.  Wow what a wreck.  Speaking of Duck Creek, they aren't going to have a handicapped blind this year because of the improvements.  We're going to have to hunt Otter Slough if we hunt away from home.  That's not very good.  Virgil told me they made some improvements there as well.  Added some more blinds in fields.  Just looking forward to Saturday.  Y'all have a good one.

Well, things around Virgil's house have been busy for a couple of days.  Got up here yesterday morning and started working on the blind again finishing the brush on it.  Virgil's son came over for a visit and helped some.  When we got back in the house we noticed our dog Hunter had blood on his foot.  OMG did he ever have blood.  Puddles of it.  He has cut the pad on his back foot and it's kinda bad.  Looks like he stepped on a broken bottle and it looks deep and wide.  Now not only do we have to keep it clean and bandaged for a while to keep out infection and stop bleeding, it's only 3 more days till duck season opens.  Of all times for this to happen.  We don't really know where it happened since he was all over the field and in the woods by the house with Virgil's son.  Hopefully he will be able to get out and about.  Wish us luck.  Have a good one.

Afternoon all.  Not doing much today, just finishing touches we decided to add to the blind.  We got in it and sat for a while.  Nothing flying, hope there is more to see on Saturday.  Hunter is better, putting weight on the foot and getting out and about.  Still trying to bleed in one spot but looks a lot better today.  Maybe if we get to kill some ducks on Sat. we'll get them to drop on the ground.  That way he won't have to get his feet wet.  Snider, have you and Sharon run off and done something we need to know about?????   You don't talk to us anymore.  Where are you???  Got to go fry my chicken for supper.  Y'all have a good one.

Morning all............Snider, I'm mad at you.  Why didn't you tell someone you were not well??  I'm sending you my email address in a pm so you can give it to Sharon.  If this happens again, have her email me and let us know.  I'd have come over and pestered ya if I'd known about it.  Duck season opens in the morning and we're sure ready.  Just hope something is flying other than buzzards.  Y'all have a good one.

Morning All. Thanks for the prayers VK, I couldn't have typed any thing even if I had been able to gotten on here, finally got back home Wed. Sharon drove back and forth from Dexter for three days then when I was sent to the Cape she got a motel room and stayed there for the rest of the time till they let me out. Heck I got to see all but a couple of the off spring while at the Cape, As the old Indian said, feeling HEAP better now, kinda put a kink in my Deer hunting tho, at least for modern firearms, may still be able to make the anterless and muzzle loading seasons tho, buddy Howard had been in the VA at the Bluff and he is ticked that he won't be able to make the season either due to his stomach problems, Nope KK, Sharon and I haven't did any thing like that LOL. Don't know what I'd have done with out HER tho, she took care of Buddy till she started staying at the Cape then Howard watched him, we got back Wed and found out he was under the weather also Howard that is. Sure is good to be back Home. Hope very one has a great day. later. KH, you have at good trip and I will TRY to refrain from sending any mail your way. LOL.

Hey Hillbilly, I wish Virgil and I were cleaning ducks.  We didn't even see a duck.  Had a couple of flocks of geese fly over but that was all.  Gonna go back out in the morning and try again.  You know, it's relaxing just to sit out there and watch the world go by.  Good luck to you tomorrow.

Good morning all.

KK if the wind was blowing over there like it has for the last two days in SWMO, the ducks flying into the wind would have stopped and dropped out of range, and the ones flying with the wind you needed to pull the trigger yesterday to hit them today.
